The Julian Assange drama drags on. Though he continues to sit in a top security British prison awaiting developments in his expected extradition to the United States, the Spanish High Court has been given
  • The Spanish newspaper El Pais, which has seen much of the evidence in the case, also mentioned how UC Global fixed the windows in the rooms actually being used by Assange so they would not vibrate, making it possible to use laser microphones from a nearby line of sight building to record what was being said.

This passage led me to doing some research since when it first started the laser was used to “read” the vibrations on the window pane caused by the inside conversation.

    I found this:
“Researchers from Bar-Ilan University (Ramat-Gan, Israel) and the Universitat de València (Burjassot, Spain) developed a new way to sense sound remotely using a laser beam.

Their research paper is titled: “Simultaneous remote extraction of multiple speech sources and heart beats from secondary speckles pattern” and the authors are: Zeev Zalevsky, Yevgeny Beiderman, Israel Margalit, Shimshon Gingold, Mina Teicher, Vicente Mico, and Javier Garcia.”

    https://counterespionage.com/laser-beam-eavesdropping/

Interesting that both Spain and Israel are mentioned.

Those “Spanish” names are Jew names.
  • From the Washington Post: It's almost as if Afghanistan is the part of the world that was left over when the more useful, less awkward places were getting organized into valuable empires and states. Just remember: Why must America invade the world? Because America must invite the world! Why must America invite the world? Because...
  • Afghanistan matters – for the countries around it. In the unipolar world, in which America aspired to determine the political order everywhere, that made it matter for American ambitions in Eurasia.

Then, in the post-9/11 stage of globalization, it mattered for America because it had become a base for the Islamist guerrillas who had now added America to their list of targets.

The Taliban state that hosted Al Qaeda was toppled, the Islamic State that was its more virulent successor was toppled. In the world today, there are still numerous jihadists but they don’t have territorial bases as good as Afghanistan 2000 or Syria 2014.

I suppose the sensible criterion for an American withdrawal from Afghanistan, is whether the resulting power vacuum will be filled in a way that will prevent the return of anti-American jihadists.

An easier, less expensive and more peaceful option is to just not allow them into America in the first place.
    , @Buck Ransom
At this point, isn't the war in Afghanistan drawn out by the Empire as a way to fuck over the Russians and the Chinese as they attempt to build their One Belt, One Road project? And aren't the Chinese hoping to build a pipeline that would carry oil through Afghanistan from Iran to China, allowing them to curtail shipments by sea?
    , @Jack D
You are making far too much sense for this crowd.

Anyway, that's the problem. American withdrawal will mean the return of the Taliban. Either we will have to take all of our allies with us or allow them to be slaughtered. We can (possibly) exact promises from the Taliban that they will not allow Afghanistan to be used as a base for terrorism but how much would these promises be worth? We could keep our eye out and bomb anything that looks like a terrorist base (but that has its own problems - killing "civilians" is bad publicity) for less money than it costs to do an occupation and uphold the puppet government, but that's not free either.

Afghanistan now is somewhat costly in treasure (although not big in the scheme of things) and fairly cheap in lives - maybe a dozen a year. This is not a lot more than would die if these same troops were stationed stateside, in training accidents, car accidents, etc. In the peacetime years after Vietnam but before the Cold War wound down, when the US military was less safety conscious than it is now, the military death rate was higher than it is now while we are technically "at war". So the easiest thing is just to continue the status quo.

    http://chronicle.com/blognetwork/edgeofthewest/files/2013/07/annualdeathsmilitarypercentage.jpg

And this graph is just the rate - since the US military was about 2/3 larger in those days, the raw numbers were even higher.
  • Introduction It has been roughly one human lifetime since the United States of America underwent a cataclysmic transformation. December 7, 2019 marks the 78th anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor—the event that turned the United States from a constitutional republic into a globe-straddling empire, which today deploys more than 900 military bases in...
  • @eah
FDR got his war at the cost of 3 near obsolete battleships.

And how many men? -- do their lives count?

They do to me. But I am of not of such low character and suspect morals that I would take government employment.

Those men lost at Pearl were just so much chaff in the wind to scum like FDR.

  • @Anon
You think 9-11 was a false flag, and that the bombing of Pearl Harbor was a conspiracy on the US side of things because somehow Roosevelt wanted to get into a war against the Japanese and that we would certainly win it by encouraging an attack against ourselves that would leave our entire Pacific fleet wiped out.

Ok, got it. I don't need to read anymore. Tl;dr. Why are conspiracy theorists always windbags? Could it be that they didn't get enough attention as children, and this prattling on about conspiracies is just an attention-getting device used to make their boring selves more interesting to people who would never pay them any attention?

Roosevelt wanted to get into a war against the Japanese and that we would certainly win it by encouraging an attack against ourselves that would leave our entire Pacific fleet wiped out.

    Hmmm, “Pacific Fleet wiped out”.
The carriers were not in port.
We had total loss of 2 30 year old battle ships and 1 30 year old battleship that had already been turned into a training ship.
All other ships that were damaged or sunk were returned to service by the end of the war.

Maybe “wiped out” doesn’t mean what I think it means.

FDR got his war at the cost of 3 near obsolete battleships. Four years later, the US Navy was operating 28 carriers, 23 battleships, 71 escort carriers and 71 cruisers with hundreds of subs and destroyers and thousands of support ships.

I don't know about the US but traffic fines in Australia are vicious. Get caught looking at a mobile phone, even if stationary & you will be up for fines in the $ 400-450 range.
The only saving grace is that those unable to pay the lump sum can enter into an automatic debit of $ 20 or so dollars p.w until the fine is paid off.
In the old days it was not totally unknown for poorer Australians to enter prison voluntarily, as the fine would be "paid off" at something like $100 per day of incarceration (some times over crowding would see early release with fine wiped off)

Your first bullet point "kept Russia at bay since the Cold War began" refers specifically to Germany. Turning it around, why won't Germany keep Washington at bay instead? The war in Europe has been over for nearly 75 years, with the US still occupying that defeated "colony."

Who, today, is the enemy of the German people? Is it the US Empire, which still has 35,000 unneeded soldiers stationed there, or is it Russia, which has none? I guess one could say the troops are good for the German economy. Otherwise they are just an obsolete occupying force and yet another drain on the US taxpayer.

More anti-white propaganda, including the phony "Native American genocide" idea. Most Native Americans died from European diseases, not violence by the white invaders. Many others died when attacking white settlements. In my view, America's biggest crime against the natives was the Trail of Tears, the dispossession of those who had actually settled down and adopted white culture. It's an object lesson for those whites who think that being tolerant and polite will save us from the Great Replacement.

American Indians should be grateful that the merciful white man let some of the bloodthirsty savages live. The Trail of Tears was the right thing to do to remove an alien group from our lands.

Still, the cops have become highly militarized and arrogant in their assumed role as a huge counterterrorist and counternarcotics force. The war on drugs and the war on terror have greatly distorted the role of police in society. And legal mechanisms like civil forfeiture and the use of traffic citations as funding mechanisms have exacerbated the problem.

The Lieutenant Colonel did not say he was troubled by the President having "attempted to extort a foreign leader for personal gain." He did say he was troubled, deeply troubled by an attempt to "subvert U.S. foreign policy."

That statement contradicts the U.S. Constitution, vesting in the President full authority over foreign policy. Not Congress, not the Courts, not the Civil Service State Department bureaucracy.

I'm not blind to the corruption. Installing your daughter and son-in-law in the White House as advisers? Keeping your hotels when you're President so diplomats will stay in them for brownie points?

The argument that he 'fights like a gangster and that's what we need' I find unconvincing as well--he hasn't built the wall or overhauled immigration, and staff cycle in and out rather rapidly. He does a nice job making everyone feel better getting into fights with progressives on Twitter, but hasn't really done all that much for nationalism.

But the key question is, who are you going to replace him with? Pence will easily be convinced by the neocons to start more wars in the Middle East, and will probably fold on the immigration issue given a little pushing from donors. Any of the Democrats will be forced by their base to let tons more immigrants from the Third World in even if they know better in the back of their heads (Bernie Sanders comes to mind).

Are you really that stupid? The President of the United States is the final word on foreign policy. He administrates it as he sees fit. He can say and do any thing to any foreign leader. It is not the job, the duty or in the power of anyone to 2nd guess the President of the United States in regard to foreign policy.

Thus, Trump can do as he pleases in a phone call. It's his job.

The transcript of the phone call clearly shows no extortion attempt of any kind, and this is verified by the person on the other end of the call, the President of Ukraine. But even if he did--which he emphatically did not--it's none of anyone's business, and it is most definitely not a crime.

Trump releasing the transcript was brilliant, because it made Schiff's attempt to lie about the content and nature of the call look like the lie that it was.

There is no whistle blower, because up until this traitor to the United States came to talk with Schiff, the definition of a whistle blower was someone with first hand knowledge, which the traitor did not have. The definition was changed to fit this traitor's acts by the IG, a Deep State operative.

There you have it: the Pres is free to run foreign policy with or without 2nd guessing from Deep State traitors so it's "meh, who's the ignorant turd who thinks different?"

German Besserwissers love their "Meldepflicht", the most draconian, big-brother law possible and they love the idea that no one should be allowed to own a weapon for personal protection as according to them only the state should be allowed to have and hold weaponry.

The "Meldepflicht being a horrid leftover from the "Fürstenzeiten", it is a regulation which requires each citizen to report their new address to the local "Meldeamt", and the neurotic Teutons view it as a means of maintaining "Ordnung".

As res noted also above, this is a case of a remarkable split in 'Reaction' button. As of this writing, there were ten 'Reactions' to this anti-Trump Peter Akuleyev comment, of which 1 was 'Agree,' 3 were 'Disagree,' 3 were 'LOL,' and 3 were Troll.'

I've noticed that 'Troll' sometimes denotes "Super Disagree," while use of 'LOL' sometimes denotes mockery (laughing "at" them, rather than laughing "with" them; the latter is probably the majority of cases but not by much) which is thus also a kind of disagreement.

So the meta-data from the ten 'Reactions' suggests the commentariat is strongly against this comment. This info can be had by the time-pressed reader in five seconds.

A quick reading of the 16 comment-replies suggest also a ratio of about ten-to-one against, which is in line with the Reaction button data.

    So the Reaction button works.

I support the Proud Boys and I love Gavin. Clearly this whole situation was preposterous and never should have gotten as far as it did.

My one question is: Gavin and the PB maintain that Antifa attacked them. But the NYT has video which it claims demonstrates the opposite. I haven't seen that video but, what about that? Honest question.

The NY Post story linked also has that video. In it you see the six roaches standing in frame. Their attention is off frame. One throws what looks like a bottle off frame. A second later the front roach is hit by a running man wearing a red cap. The brawl moves to the right off frame a nd then back to the left in front of the camera.

Not cooperating with law enforcement is the smart thing to do. At the first question your response should be ” I am exercising my 5th Amendment right to remain silent and I want my lawyer. “. Any thing else and you are only talking yourself into charges.

They might quote that to a jury and you would sound like a man who knew his rights because he thought he was going to need them. Better to say 'thank you, but I will wait until I have seen my lawyer before making a statement' And when you are asked who is your lawyer if you you don't have one, just say so.

Nothing you can say will stop them arresting you and charging you anyway. The reason to remain silent is guilty or innocent, talking to the police can only make it easier for the prosecutors to get a conviction, but it cannot help you.

If you had daughters who had not yet spurned you I would get it, also if you were a member in good standing of some happy white community, like in some small Mormon town in Utah or Arizona and could still regard sticking your neck out for white girls as doing something for ‘your own’. But other than that perhaps you ought to finally get past your late middle age readolescence and come around to recognizing that white women are the problem and that if they want ptotection they should come around and ask us very nicely for it.

And right now they aint asking us very nicely. But you still white knight for them, protecting their bike races and bathrooms from trannies and their soft and sensitive feelings from black beckyists.

Let them enjoy the stew their sitting in until they realize that they can’t handle it on their own and they come around to asking white men to get involved and thanking us for doing so.

  • The problem largely traces back to simple mistakes by prior Saudi administrations.

The Wahhabi were a threat to the royal family. So, the royal family funded them to go elsewhere. Given the craziness of Wahhabism that made sense at the time. Crazy usually dies out. However, in this case the Crazy came with enough money in hand to establish credibility. The extremist Muslim Brotherhood is a direct result of these exported extremism.

ISIS is the result of a schism inside the extremist Muslim Brotherhood. A “direct action” group wanted an even more extreme and immediate solution and broke away.

    — Did the U.S. or Israel attempt to deploy ISIS? This is far-fetched beyond the bounds of reasonability. Violent, ultra-extreme ISIS fanatics would not follow the commands of infidel heretics. The Saudi royal family by this point realized that the Muslim Brotherhood was a threat to them just like the original Wahhabi, but they had no good way to undo their prior mistake.

    — Did Turkey attempt to use ISIS to weaken Syria and Iraq? This is far more probable. Turkey’s AK party is also a schismatic offshoot of the Muslim Brotherhood. So, there is a great deal of opportunity for the two troops to find common cause. The New Ottoman Empire needs to absorb Syrian and Iraqi land, so undermining those governments would be step #1.

One does not need outside actors to explain how the hole was dug. Unfortunately, that means there is no good solution. If the problem was driven by outside forces, those forces could stop it. However, the reality is that there are no outside forces driving the Craziness. There is no “plug to pull”.

Absolute nonsense. And what do you mean by "outside forces." The US and Israel count as outside forces but Turkey does not? Forces outside of what?

ISIS emerged out of ISI, Zarqawi's Islamic State in Iraq, an affiliate, for a while, of AQ. The US invasion of Iraq created the political and military space in Iraq for transnational terror groups.

Meanwhile, the US, at Israel's instigation, had been working to weaken Assad in Syria. After the rebellion against him in 2011, the US, along with Turkey, Saudi, Qatar, Israel and others, began to support various jihadi groups inside Syria with the goal of eliminating the Assad government, each for his own reasons. Syria began lost control of its border with Iraq and much of eastern Syria and the Euphrates valley as well. This process allowed ISIS to emerge from an ISI under stress during the so-called "surge" in 2007-10 and establish itself in Syria. In 2014, ISIS, now a powerful well-armed group went back into Iraq to defeat the incompetent and unmotivated Iraq Security Forces that the US had established.

While the US moved against ISIS in Iraq after 2014, it left ISIS in Syria alone since it was depriving Assad of control over most of Syria's oil and much of its arable land.

And yes, of course the US, instigated by Israel, didn't "deploy" ISIS in the sense of directing its operations. But they left ISIS largely unimpeded to play a role in the overthrow of Assad which was always the primary goal. ISIS, it was thought, could be dealt with later after Assad was gone.

That plan would probably have worked eventually, but the Russians entered the picture in the second half of 2015 and changed the situation.

The US had been nominally supporting the usual "freedom fighters" but in effect supplying the more competent and vicious jihadis who could take the TOW missiles and other weapons the US was providing to the approved sad-sacks and make more effective use of them. Finally, with Russia and Iran facilitating the roll-back of all the jihadis, and the US threatened with being relegated to the sidelines, Obama jumped on the SDF (Kurdish) bandwagon and actually started doing what the US had not done previously: Taking serious action against ISIS so that a Russian/Iranian-backed Syrian reconquest of eastern Syria could be pre-empted.

And of course, the biggest supporter of the Kurds has consistently been Israel, who sees the possibility of creating pro-Israel statelets or at least enclaves in the midst of a Turkish, Iranian and Arab region that detests the Judenreich.

So in order to eliminate another of Israel's enemies, reduce a unified Syrian state to a handful of even more impotent emirates and ensure that Bibi would not be pestered with legal questions over the seizure and retention of the Golan, Syria was laid waste under the guise of "promoting democracy" and then further devastated under the guise of combatting ISIS.

We have done more than enough damage at the behest of Israel and its fifth column in the US. ISIS might well have emerged regardless of US actions, but it was the Jew-induced insanity of US regime-change/COIN policies that created the geographical, political and military space in Iraq and Syria for the jihadists and the ensuing physical destruction of so much of those countries.

The best solution would be to facilitate the re-establishment of Syrian sovereignty over all of Syria. But instead of doing that, Trump has instead facilitated the entry of Turkish forces and allied jihadis in an attempt to mend fences with a thoroughly alienated Erdogan. We'll see if Putin can mitigate the brutal incompetence of Israel-infected US policy.

US President Donald Trump said Monday that a small number of US troops remain in Syria at the request of Israel and Jordan, with some positioned near the borders with Jordan and Israel and others deployed to secure oil fields.

“The other region where we’ve been asked by Israel and Jordan to leave a small number of troops is a totally different section of Syria, near Jordan, and close to Israel,” Trump said when asked whether he would leave soldiers in Syria. “So we have a small group there, and we secured the oil. Other than that, there’s no reason for it, in our opinion.”

I wholeheartedly agree. The aforementioned are unnatural and degenerative acts. Procreation is a generative act between a man and woman in order to continue mankind. Homosexuality and transgenderism are regressive acts as they're self-serving and kill the ability to procreate.

Meanwhile, our degenerative Western society continues to spiral out of control as another Christian is persecuted for their beliefs -- and this time it was an experienced medical doctor in the UK.

On Tuesday, a British court ruled that belief in the Bible was “incompatible with human dignity" and fired Dr. David Mackereth, a devout Christian who had worked as an emergency doctor for the National Health Service for 26 years. Mackereth was fired from his job because he refused to call a biological man a woman.

But is it more triggering than "Death Wish" with Charles Bronson?

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_Wish_(1974_film)

The film was rejected by other studios because of its controversial subject matter and the perceived difficulty of casting someone in the vigilante role. Winner attempted to recruit Bronson, but there were two problems for the actor. One was that his agent, Paul Kohner, considered that the film carried a dangerous message. The other was that the screenplay then followed the original novel in describing the vigilante as a meek accountant, hardly a suitable role for Bronson.

"I was really a miscast person," Bronson said later. "It was more a theme that would have been better for Dustin Hoffman or somebody who could play a weaker kind of man. I told them that at the time."

“I was really a miscast person,” Bronson said later. “It was more a theme that would have been better for Dustin Hoffman or somebody who could play a weaker kind of man. I told them that at the time.”

Interesting, I doubt Hoffman would have done Death Wish, since he had already done a vigilante role in 1971’s Straw Dogs.

Bronson is unconvincing as a pacifist type who hates guns until his family is attacked. He is all too convincing as someone who blows people away on the subway.
He had Lipka Tatar ancestry and probably had nomadic warrior ancestors in the Golden Horde. His acting range was not great and he could not play a wimp.

He adamantly protects his intellectual property from the greedy hands of the government and represents the superiority of private sector over public.

If you want a film to introduce the concept of the deep or shadow state to a teen, Captain America-The Winter Soldier is excellent.

Perhaps its truly is necessary for Jews to oppose European nationalism whenever they can – at least in its classic form.

But it's OK for Israel to have nationalism?

You seem to be fairly well informed on Jewish behavior, so maybe you can answer a question that many refuse to: Why are historical facts and many truths deemed anti-Semitic?

Its the distortion of facts, the selective use of facts, the use of historical truths to exaggerate and inflate claims, etc, in order to demonize Jews that is anti-Semitic.

As for Israel, it is basically different than what I call classic European nationalism. It isn’t imperialistic but centred on one small piece of land – it doesn’t seek to absorb the world like Islam and Europeans. It is defensive in nature, it doesn’t hate or demonize others, doesn’t seek scapegoats for its problems, etc.

I accept that Europeans deserve and should have a healthy nationalism – but classic European nationalism, which the alt right seeks to resurrect, was a diseased state of mind.

Why not learn from your mistakes? All this hatred of Jews, Hispanics, blacks, – haven’t we been there already?

Why not drip the psychopathy, stop projecting your shadow and accept your negative traits like all humans have, stop seeking Scapegoats, and love yourself without demonizing others?

Learn, grow, be on healthy – don’t just seek to recreate the mistakes of the past.

Heard this in too many permutations to enumerate.

The problem, Aaron, is that Jews have been more active about advancing legislation to criminalize or suppress expression than any other contemporary interest group (e.g. anti-BDS laws, laws against Holocaust revisionism, etc.). FWIW, it disturbs me when Muslims seek to join Jews in advocating "hate crime" legislation. We should play no part in this fiasco.

Why do Jews do this? They regard this variety of expression as "anti-Semitic," and as such, threatening to their safety and security.

Now imagine if we were to apply this same pattern of legislation to anyone who felt offended or similarly "threatened."

The schools were neither lenders, nor borrowers. The colleges sold a product, like a car, computer, or a house. The students picked the school, picked their major, picked their living accommodations and borrowed the money.

The colleges & universities LOST their scholarship money & endowment funds, in the 2007-2008 crash, caused by: AIG, Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Bros, RBS, and other rank speculators in derivatives.

Most of Wall Street & the Banks were bailed out. Students & Homeowners were left twisting slowly in the wind.

They did? According to the US Department of Education, in 2016, the top 20 Universities in the US had $542,240,202,000 in total endowments. In 2019, of the top 100 richest schools, the bottom 30 each had endowments of at least one billion dollars.

I don't feel sorry for anybody with large student loans. They failed to exercise their options. The parents are to blame too.

For example, parents feeling guilty about not sending their beautiful daughter to an expensive university. She may be beautiful, but it doesn't mean she is smart. Or ambitious. She is often just a cry baby who wants the college experience. So the parents cave and allow her to make the fateful choice of accepting expensive college loans instead of helping her understand her options.

After the "experience" of drinking, partying, poor sexual choices and not enough attention paid to studying she graduates.

She isn't anymore ambitious. But she is a little more damaged and cynical. She sees herself in a way no one else does. She thinks she is unique! Like on the front line of social change, the modern woman, screwing over the patriarchy.

Well, it turns out as her twenties come and go, she needed a man more than she thought. Steady anti male propaganda was having a subtle effect on her choices. Now in her thirties and aware of her selfishness and stupidity, she is desperate for a family.

But men aren't lining up. She had too much sex with other men. She isn't as pretty. She's heavier. And her college loans are still there along with a pathetic savings account.

She is no longer wife material.

But she always has that college degree!

My condolences for your being just another ride on the “carousel”. Maybe if you had made better choices about the women you dated you would not be such a sad, bitter little man destined to die alone.

All the students with major debt should become expats. Leave the US and screw the bankers.

To solve the underlying problem requires taking a hard look at the whole 'higher education' system.

No one should be able to get a degree past BS or BA for one of the 'Opinion' fields like Law, Climate Science, Economics, Psychology, Psychiatry and a slew of other 'Professions' that are pure horse hockey. These fields of study can't prove a damned thing. All they have are theories or the consensus of their ilk decade after decade.

Once these fraudulent professions are openly outed, students will realize that entering those fields is just plain stupid and either not go to college or find some reasonable field of study if they are intellectually capable.

All the 'Humanities' and 'Social Sciences' are BS. the world needs fewer frauds and more engineers and true scientists.

“No one should be able to get a degree past BS or BA for one of the ‘Opinion’ fields like …….. Psychiatry and a slew of other ‘Professions’ that are pure horse hockey.”

A psychiatrist is a medical doctor who specializes in treating mental illness. My brother is one After he completed his residency, he worked for a state run hospital for the criminally insane. Now he currently spends his time working for the US Army doing PTSD evaluations and treatments. Do you consider “PTSD” to be “pure horse hockey”? Do you consider people with delusional hallucinations, hearing voices and other abnormal behavior to be fraudulent? How would you treat them?

If you are going to throw out terms, it would help if you actually knew what you were talking about.

    • Replies: @RoatanBill
You are conflating the psychiatrist with the patient.

I believe there are many mentally sick / deranged / violent / etc people in the world.

I also believe that no one knows what to do with them besides shoot them up with mind altering drugs. From what I understand, the entirety of the DSM does not have even one 'illness' for which there is an empirical test. It's all a lot of hand waving and conjecture. Psychiatry was saved from extinction by big pharma as an outlet to sell their poison. Hence, all the shootings by people on psychiatrist sanctioned drugs.

Psychiatry is the modern Phrenology, one of many fraudulent professions that can't prove anything past common sense. It should have been eradicated decades ago.

Trump hasn’t betrayed that consistency yet.

    FP: Sanctions to what end?

RMG: The president doesn’t really articulate a view for the use of sanctions beyond that they are supposed to bring him a new opportunity to cut a deal. Is that conceivable? I suppose it is, but I don’t think it’s likely. I think what is more likely is that the supreme leader is going to engage the president in a machtpolitik game. He’s quite a serious devotee of that. Yes it is as clear as a bell, yet their propaganda finds interesting voices and believers like Gilad and Ron Unz. Astounding. Read below: sort of sums it up, by Melanie Phillips.

People outside just do not get what is really going on over there, and how the Jews have given up on any peace plan. It is all or nothing for both sides, and the Jews are taking advantage of their situation right now avoiding any further erosion of land like they naively did for Gaza. They also do not care what the world thinks, because there is not world thought, only propaganda, the world lost site of the truth a long long time ago. The internet makes pretend that the world is against Israel. Don't bet on it most of Europe hates Islam way more then they hate Jews.

It is all a smoke and mirrors game. Just look at Gilads followers, most of them are basket case Jihadist or ignorant racist with 9/11 conspiracy theories. Same with Phillip Giraldi he has about 1000 followers who are total Neo Nazi Jew hatters the rest of the world do not take seriously, yet he marches on like he is just one step away from main stream. He is not.

Yes, the quality of the people who hate Israel, as seen on this site, is very low. That’s certainly true also in the outside world as well.

There has been a very dramatic shift.

As recently as 20 years ago, perfectly reasonable people might sometimes be against Israel. Today, it’s only rabid anti-Semites, the emotionally unstable, and the just plain crazy. Also very unsavoury nasty types, as you see an abundance of on Unz.

There has been a very dramatic downturn in the quality of people against Israel.

What happened is, even principled Left wing people realized that whatever they thought about how Israel was created, it can no longer be undone. That window has passed. Destroying Israel now would be a greater moral crime than what they imagine was involved in its creation.

Secondly, the Oslo accords and the truly vicious violence unleashed by the Palestinians, shocked the world, not just Israel.

And that the sticking point for the Palestinians was the “right of return” of the millions of Arabs of Palestinian origin who are now living in other Arab countries, in other words the destruction of Israel, finally convinced everyone that the Arabs are incapable of reasonable, moral compromise.

Thirdly, Israeli and Jewish success in general, going from strength to strength, and the generally positive and appealing nature of Israeli society and its character as a modern, developed, democratic country, won for it sympathy and made it seem less of a weak target for predatory, bullying types.

Whatever the case, the situation is, thank God, good these days – Israel is here to stay. The good guys won, for now. Although of course, the battle never ends, and one must not grow complacent.

We should spare a thought for the bitter, resentful types who hate Israel and Jews, and not hate them back, but have sympathy for them.

Perhaps Israel and Jews can be the nucleus of a moral reform in the Arab and Muslim world – how amazing would that be.

There has indeed been a very dramatic shift -- but not in the direction you claim.

Not twenty years ago, but forty five, I was all for Israel. She was 'one of us.' I read Leon Uris, sympathized when poor Israel was attacked by nasty Arab terrorists, and cheered her on in 1967 and 1973.

To be brief, the rest is history. I think some questions started entering my mind in 1982 -- and Israel's successive atrocities beginning with the al-Aqsa intifada finished the process. But back in the day, Israel was just mighty fine -- even a bit of an exemplar.

And many of us have followed this path. If one reads literature from the seventies and eighties, Israel's legitimacy is unquestioned. Of course, there are quacks and crazies, but supporting Israel is a bit like agreeing the moon landings happened -- just part of that common set of attitudes normal people share.

...and of course, the concomitant was that anyone who disagreed could speak their mind -- just as anyone who thinks the moon landings didn't occur can spout off. There's no need to silence him. Say what you wish.

No more, eh? Now, open dissent must be suppressed. Won't agree to buy Israel? No job for you. You don't think we should fight wars on her behalf? I think your opponent in the next election going to be getting a whole lot of funding.

Etc. Can't allow unfettered debate about this in mainstream any more, can we?

So yeah, you could say that 'perfectly reasonable' people won't criticize Israel any more. They don't need the grief. But it's not that they support Israel. Privately, every year fewer and fewer do. Who could?

But you know that. I don't know whether you're lying just to us, or to yourself as well. Only you can answer that question.

College guys were ONLY exempt while in college. When I went to Signal Officer Basic in 1972, there was a guy there who had joined 2-year ROTC after the lottery numbers came out. He and 2 of his friends compared their lottery numbers in a bar and the TOTAL for all 3 guys was less than 10.

On the other hand, several years later I went through Artillery Officer Advanced, and one of our instructors explained that Field Artillery had the highest washout rate in the Army (because too many guys couldn't do the INCREDIBLY basic math). You were more likely to flunk Artillery than Helicopter school. But on the up-side, when he was a Fire Direction Officer (FDO) in Vietnam, ALL of the enlisted men in his BATTERY FDC (Fire Direction Center) had college degrees and one even had his masters. Once the draft ended, all those smart enlisted guys simply disappeared.

On the other hand, during WW2, the 9th US Cavalry (Buffalo Soldiers) was sent to the Pacific and upon arrival the ENTIRE division was reclassified as "stevedores" (arguably the stupidest MOS in the Army). So commanders have to learn to deal with the raw material they're given. I think the ONLY US soldier EXECUTED by court martial in WW2 was one of the converted stevedores who "raped" a White nurse. There was some discussion of how much was "against her will".

I think the ONLY US soldier EXECUTED by court martial in WW2 was one of the converted stevedores who “raped” a White nurse

The old comics celebrated American culture and freedoms, had a strong moral heart, frequently overt Christianity, and valorized America and assimilation. At one point Marvel even published illustrated versions of Christian classics like CS Lewis’ the Screwtape Letters and Pilgrims Progress.

Regarding higher art forms there’s always been a place for folk tales and folk songs alongside high literature and classical music. In many ways comics are one of the great American mythologies.

Just going “but, but, TEH JOOZ” doesn’t really cut it. Stan Lee was American and so were his heroes. This is what happens when you confuse race, culture, and the individual person, you become this mirror image identitarian where you don’t look at the facts but just focus on who is saying it.

I don't think Marvel's leftist shift began in the 2010's but in 1960's, when leftist Jew Stan Lee took over the helm. This can be seen most in his flagship character, Spiderman. Jeff Tucker did a political critique of him when Spiderman 3 came out. The hero is a working class proletariat who, despite being a good student and intelligent, can't get ahead. He works for a newspaper magnate who pays him pennies for top rate photos. His main nemesis, the Green Goblin, is a crony capitalist who uses his wealth to make weapons to eliminate his industrial rivals to accumulate more wealth. Many other Spiderman villains fit into this formula: lots of gadgets and wealth.

This is in deep contrast to DC Comics Batman, who is a wealthy industrialist himself and see his crime fighting activities as another version of philanthropy. Most of his enemies are street thugs, the sort of people that conservatives warn us about.

They are weak, stupid and ineffective -- no match for you, as long as you don't give them space or weapons. They are the kind of men who will cry and complain about the slightest discomfort, and they do.

(Caveat: This comment comes from a man with little or no experience fighting off blacks -- because he never has allowed himself into that situation. Hey, this is the internet, virtual world, where one can say anything and it seems real, like a video game.)

  • @J.Ross
You're not criminalizing breathing, you're giving police leeway. But that's totally forbidden, it's been eliminated as a concept. Everything has to be carefully defined, decided in advance, and forced into an up or a down position. Nobody can be allowed to make a judgement, it has to be a pre-ordained response agreed upon by a committee.
(Never mind that, at the end of the day, all the cult following of infallible written law cannot stop cops from inevitably using discretion anyway, eg, when a blasé mayor effectively encourages police to lay off the whole law enforcing thing for a while.)

This is the United States of America. The police are not supposed to have “leeway”. Come up with an actual crime or leave people alone. If you want the police to have “leeway”, maybe a move to Israel, Red China, or North Korea might be something you should consider.

Arm yourself and quit being a sheep.

    • Replies: @J.Ross
You are confused, those are all places with carefully proscribed police activity. It just happens that police can totally screw people if they're doing it by the book. The old USA had police discretion that worked because it also had the idea that we should be seeing minimal and justified police activity. We have since changed our minds to opt for a less American model, in which the State has more power but distracted you from this by constraining individual cops.
An example of this is feminist laws requiring that a domestic abuse visit (almost always a judgment call if there ever was one) MUST end with a full blown arrest. Depending on visible scar distribution, cops end up arresting the woman, whose nails left more marks on the physically larger but under-nailed man. This is a law forcing you to do the opposite of what the same law intended.

It isn’t just Fred. This ” All out combat troops are now women” meme has been floating around for a while. There are plenty of reasons to criticize the US military. Claiming large numbers of female infantry troopers only makes you look like a fool. Facts matter.

    • Replies: @Rabbitnexus
I know it is a common refrain these days. I was in the Australian infantry when women were first starting to join up. Having just 2 women in our platoon was the biggest change to army culture, training and field work I ever saw. Thee days along with it being in our faces everywhere from schools, to Hollywood, from tarrghe workplace to the frontlines of combat the feminist and LGBTQ narrative has become the dominant one so you cannot blame Fred or anyone who opposes it of using it as it is presented.

Anyway my point here was that in an otherwise excellent article this minor example was hardly worthy of mention.
    , @another fred

Claiming large numbers of female infantry troopers only makes you look like a fool. Facts matter.

"Large" is another one of those undefined terms. The "fact" that matters is whether or not their presence in present numbers in a wartime environment would affect the military's ability to get the ugly job done. Fred apparently thinks so, as do others. I guess time will tell
  • the large numbers of military women who are now in combat positions

    Define “large”.
Using 2018 numbers, the USMC had 93 women in combat billets. Only 11 of those were in infantry. The U.S. Army had roughly 600 females in combat roles.
Have those numbers doubled in the past year? Tripled?

Between the Dogfaces and the Jarheads, and their reserve components, you have 1,200,000 troops. Say 1 in 10 of those troops are point of the spear, combat troops. And say we now have 2100 females among them. Divide 2100 by 120,000 and you get 0.0175. Is that a large number? If you have 12 man squads you would have 10,000 squads. 2100 would have a female in them. 7900 would be all male.

Do women belong in combat units? No. Are there large numbers of women in combat units? Not to my mind.

Do women belong on ships or in tactical aircraft? No.

Is Fred using undefined terms as a scare tactic? Decide for yourself.

"As of fiscal year 2014, women are approximately 14 percent of the active duty Army..."

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Women_in_the_United_States_Army

I suppose there is some wiggle room in the difference between "combat" and "active". But I don't recall Fred stipulating that the female soldiers he alluded to were in either the active army or combat roles. Just in the army is good enough, since he was talking about prospects for promotion.
    , @what gives
    It only takes one.
    , @Poupon Marx
It is not the number of females, in itself. It is that the armed forces have been feminized, made softer and gentler, more caring and the rest of the rot. I remember when women started going out on police patrols. These thin boned, usually diminutive women would be paired-necessarily-by a bid bruiser who would have to do the heavy work, like physically restraining someone, or fending off a direct attack. Usually the freemail officer steps back and then advances once the perp is secured. To put on the handcuffs. All it would take for the freemail officer to be put on permanent medical retirement is round house punch to the face. That would break most of her facial bones, leaving horrific scarring and years of reconstructive surgery.

And then there is the widespread adoption of the 9mm. The great majority of military and police I have talked to prefer the .45 cal. BUT, women with their thin bones and small hands can't handle it. Solution? Dumb and scale down for Inclusiveness, and Political Careeness. Gender neutral, Equal Opportunity. (More opportunity for her partner to get killed).
    , @in the middle
By definition, 'Military' entails combat. I imagine the enemy saying, 'wait, those are women, although in Military uniforms, they are non combatants'. NOT! People have to realize that when entering military service, you are a combatant, regardless of male o female. Of course, in the services now a days, several positions for women believe it or not, are in clerical positions. I KNOW, in my Squadron, out of about 120 personnel, about 45 were women; most in desks and doing 'paperwork, with a hellish attitude, and a few were man haters.

Why set the cut off at 1790? Why not 1620 or 15,000 BC? Your proposed rule has never been the rule in all of American history, so we are on unprecedented ground here. What if one of your ancestors was German and came in 1849 but the rest were on the Mayflower? Do we send back 1/32nd of you?

BTW, how many people (who are not black) does this leave? (BTW are blacks included? I'd rather send 40 million Africans back than 40 million German descendants, but that's just me.) How many Americans have zero post 1790 ancestors?

"No one had a problem with statues 10 years ago because there isn’t a problem with statues. The same as no one had a problem 10 years ago whether cops or citizens were shooting unarmed blacks that they were being attacked by. "

The issue of civil war emblems first started in the late 1980's concerning the rebel flag. It was just a ripple. But anyone think that the black population living in the South thought of Southern civil war heroes as heroes, doesn't comprehend the meaning of political correct authority. That you honestly believe that blacks in the South embraced the Flag of South sincerely in any manner other than to avoid ruffling the feathers of whites . . . is to mistake that political correctness for docility.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-EPbBvWeSuo

And I would grant out that as subsequent generations have to come to the fore that issue has gained some steam-- and even whites got the message that the flag is the flag of a rebellion against the US that it flies at all anywhere is an indictment of the country's real views regarding blacks and freedom. One only flies an emblem of the rebellion if in fact they are still in rebellion, that's the message and that rebellion as a symbol represents a society that claimed a state's right to imprison other human beings and use them as chattel and in no small cases on par with beasts of burden.

good grief, what a murder in Detroit has to do with the Confederate flag and it subsequent symbols is strange, unless you believe that the flag was used as a mechanism to instill fear in blacks to ensure compliance.

In truth the symbol has nothing to do with contemporary crime. It is tragic that anyone murders anyone. However, there's no evidence that blacks as a majority or even as a minority of thinkers save some strange outliers that blacks are anymore entitled to kill whites as vice versa. The symbology and that incident has no relevance in this discussion and your muddying the water is uncalled for. But it does support my position. That in the face of a free speech discussion your retort is one predicated not relevant or related material but some extreme totally unrelated.

Just because blacks were polite in the south to southern sensibilities does not mean they were in agreement. Whether it's the flag, statues, bathrooms, education . . . it has only been when they voiced opposition -- then of course,

"uppity" is the turn of phrase voiced in a myriad of ways. And that is practice among whites North South East and West. Liberals and Democrats are not foreigners to manipulating power on black silence. And it makes sense to be silent when you are out of the power position -- lest, whites and others get you mixed up with the police and falsely accuse and destroy your life. And underdogs know this game very well. I suspect that blacks in the US know better than most.

But it has only since gaining some clout in social, economic and political force that the black population (and not all of them) have been willing to express some sentiments on the issues of just what those symbols have meant and what they imposed as the same. I think we should embrace all of goods and ills. But if you can't grasp the bizarre juxtaposition of Gen Lee as hero at West Point of all places -- then you don't understand loyalty to country and what Gen lee so politely chose as course of choice against the nation that bore him and blessed him. Odd this, Gen Lee did not say let the states deal with John Brown -- he went out to arrest him, then Col Lee, I think.

Note my comments are not based on modern standards -- but the standards of the time concerning loyalty to country.

Pres. Jackson would have had his fellow southerner hung for joining the rebellion.

    ----------------------------

I am going to let slide the "police" inclusion here. I think I am on safe ground to acknowledge the use of the "attacking black man" has after 100 plus of use is finally losing its force. Fortunately and sadly as increasing video reveals, the police are not so clean as advertised, and that is now becoming a reality to more and more whites. Something that blacks have cataloged since they left plantations and something whites claimed was a thing of their imagination.

It appears not so much. There is no war on police. But there is acknowledgement that there are problems with the conduct of enough officers to be concerned.

It was secession, not rebellion. Lee was loyal to the nation that bore him, the State of Virginia as it should have been.

  • @Staudegger
The only reason why Tarantino made this movie was so his fictional Sharon Tate can give birth to Polanski's rape baby. His entire career is a love letter to the types of Jews who made him famous, namely Harvey Weinstein. All his movies' villains are perceived enemies of those Jews: Klansmen, "nazis," rednecks, hippies, even the (presumably racist) LA cops in Reservoir Dogs. All White, of course, except for the yakuza in Kill Bill.

“Hippies” were the enemies of the Jews? Ignoring the fact that many of the hippie leaders were Jews.

Just look at the history. It's accurate that the south gentile relations with blacks has a tame history, unless you examine periods in which blacks acted as citizens. The riots, land confiscations, murders, and other mechanisms to deny blacks power and once accomplished . . .

Sure whites say all is good and well. That doesn't take a degree to understand or review. But look at the utter mayhem about statues. Statues of men who literally made war against the US and cost about a million lives. based on a knee jerk reaction to an election that did shift southern fortunes one iota and wouldn't have.

The south held the trump card of rebellion, when they pulled that trigger as they did -- they wasted it.

Note: I have no particular animous against southern statues - part of our history. But I certainly get why others might have a different opinion. Things were fine in the south until someone actually voiced opinions about the rebel symbol -- then there was trouble. Free speech is not a one way corridor.

Thank you for continuing to keep this cover-up in the public mind.

If the Jewish Mafia has the power to kill Epstein in jail, then they also have the power to wisk him away to safety. As to his fate, I expect he is living the life of a protected mobster along with Stephen Paddock of Las Vegas fame.

When you have the time and inclination, you may wish to examine that whole Las Vegas fiasco.

Remember, Paddock's body was cremated without authorization. There was no explanation of why the IRS never nailed him for not filing tax returns. There was no forensic shooting analysis to confirm the recorded shots matched that of a "bumpstock".

Stephen Paddock was an illegal gun runner working for the ATF in conjunction with other mafia-military-secret police organizations. He did not fit the usual profile of a lone crazed gun nut. He visited wealthy casinos, had lots of cash and guns, way more than a gut nut needs.

His girlfriend-partner-handler made the hotel reservation and then left the country. Paddock sent money to her. No crazy gunman does this. He was laundering money through the slot machines. And the official narrative that he was visiting other wealthy casino-hotels to plan his shooting was ridiculous. He was selling military weapons.

If this seems beyond the pale, then you could ask Eliot Abrahams and Oliver North about this.

The shooting was Monday, October 1, 2017. By Thursday, the official narrative was falling apart so badly that the Harvey Weinstein news bomb was dropped to kick Las Vegas off the news. It worked beautifully and by Sunday, October 7, Las Vegas was erased from the news. Now who has the power to do this - to change the headline news for every news organization in America, on the turn of a dime. Check out the New York Times headlines about this story from Oct 1 to Oct 7 2017 to confirm this.

The bumpstock was the lie which hides the truth. If they were automatic military weapons then no crazed gun nut could have purchased them. If they were automatic military weapons, and he had lots of cash, which he did, then it was obviously a gun running operation.

The real issue here is not the crime, it is the obvious conclusion that the military, secret police, Federal Government, and the Jewish Mafia are again working together to commit crimes and officially cover it up. This pestilance has taken over our republic.

Sorry to be a little off topic, but these crimes and coverups are related.

Actually, Sharon wanted Roman's friends to leave. It was Roman who insisted that Frykowski and Folger be allowed to stay in the house; she knew very well that both Frykowski and Sebring were both drug dealers of the mid-level. Frykowski trafficked in Ecstasy, a new drug in America at that time (The first time MDA was mentioned in court was when it was found in the Tate residence). Sebring was a cocaine dealer-supposedly out of his hair salon.

Tate had split up with Sebring because he was a drug addict. He would never have been a film producer or anything else depicted in once upon a time...a few years down the road he would have discovered freebasing and probably ended up another broke crackhead. Producing films requires money and Sebring had a huge cocaine habit.

Brad Pitt is in fairly good shape for a 55 year old.

This man is only five years short of sixty. Kind of like Charles Bronson.

If you go back to the early 1950's when Charles Bronson first got into films, that man is ripped.

I flipped through Jim Brown’s autobiography to read the part about filming The Dirty Dozen. He described Bronson, who was 45 +/= during filming, like this:

“I flew over to London with Charles Bronson. He was the strangest mofo I had ever met. I sat right next to him, man did not say one word to me. He stared straight ahead, appeared to be brooding. I spoke to him once, but I knew not to say too much. After that, I was surprised at how much help he gave me on the set. I like men I can’t intimidate, and I liked Bronson. He was tough and forward, if you were weak you’d be scared of him. He used to be a coal miner, never pretended he hadn’t. Bronson was in tremendous physical condition. He would walk to a car, stop, jump right over it. The London women were after his ass. He wasn’t a face man, but they liked his body and they liked his walk – Bronson had a great walk, tight and contained. Watching Bronson, you could tell he thought he could fight. I don’t know if Bronson could fight or not, but you didn’t want to fuck with him. The mental thing he carried around was no joke.” Jim Brown Out of Bounds

Manson's following included a couple of Jews (None involved in the murders however) and none of the victims were Jewish. Fail to see your point.

Much has been made of Manson being "terrifying". In fact, Manson was said to have been sexually abused in prison by other inmates, including blacks. No other convict ever reported being terrified of him. Dennis Wilson was not terrified of him. He had a scary stare and that is about it.

However, the film is sheer rubbish. Manson would never have gotten the wrong house because both he and Tex Watkins had been there for parties when Terry Melcher lived there. They knew the address very well. Manson had returned, looking for Melcher, when he met Tate and the others. He knew the house was occupied by stoned hippies.

Tarantino overlooks the fact that most of this was a result of drugs. Manson was Melcher and Dennis Wilson's drug dealer and supplied them with girls from the Manson family. Frykowski was a drug dealer who was only in the US because he was a major drug dealer. Jay Sebring was also a drug dealer and a cocaine addict. Tate and Roman had an open relationship and he was beside Sharon Tate in the bedroom smoking a joint when the killers burst in.
