As we all know, race does not exist. It’s just a social construct. Except when talking about World War Hair. Black hair is a biological fact of nature. From Senator Cory Booker’s Facebook page:

Every day, black people face discrimination just for wearing their natural hairstyles. For expressing their cultural heritage through locs, braids, and more, they’re being fired from jobs, harassed, and denied civil rights.
A year ago, Andrew Johnson was forced to cut his dreadlocks in order to compete in his high school wrestling match.
Gabrielle Union’s was told her hair was “too black” for work.
And Penn State football player Jonathan Sutherland was sent a letter saying his hair was “awful.”
Discrimination against black hair is discrimination against black people. No one should be denied a job, an education, or face discrimination due to their natural hair.
That’s why I’m introducing the #CROWNAct with Rep. Cedric Richmond. Because natural hairstyles are a reflection of cultural heritage—and no one should have their civil rights violated for expressing who they are.
